Bali - Ulan Danu Bratan Temple

.

This was probably one of my favourite spot in Bali - Ulan Danu Bratan Temple, located in Bedugul. This temple was built in the 17th century and dedicated to Devi Danu, Goddess of the Water and Bratan Lake.

The entrance fee is Rp 10,000 per pax.

I was quite impressed on the landscaping and the cleanliness of the area.

One of the entrances to the temple on "mainland".

This pagoda is dedicated to the Buddhist community who helped built this temple.

Yellow and White are holy holy colours =)

Managed to capture the inner area of the temple. Most of the temples are out of bounds to visitors - only able too view from the outside.

Tables where offerings are laid out by devotees.

Area where prayers are being held.

I wished I had a good camera to capture the beauty of this place..

So calm and cooling...A fisherman rows out to the lake..
It's such a cooling area and so peaceful to be in..the temperature there was like Genting Highlands during the early morning...

This is the temple built offshore, dedicated to Dewi Danu, the Goddess of Water and Bratan Lake.
A similar picture setting as the above picture is also printed on the Rp 50,000 note.

I don't mind to spend hours sitting down and enjoy the serenity of Ulan Danu Bratan.
