Bali - Monkey Forest, Ubud

.

First day in Bali! Woke up to a beautiful day in Ubud. After breakfast, decided to pay a visit at Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Ubud.

What to expect in Monkey Forest? MONKEYS of course!! There were so many of them, I think their numbers are larger than the ones at Penang's Botanical Garden. They are of the same species too!

It took us appoximately 20 minutes of leisure walk to reach the entrance to Monkey Forest from Artini 3 Hotel by foot.

Monkey Forest Entrance Fee @ Rp 20,000.

Aren't we pretty? =p

This statue is huge!

Statue of monkey holding a baby monkey.

One of the temples in Monkey Forest.

Pura Dalem Agung Temple's entrance.

Time to groom up for the visitors.. check out for lice/kutu, Take One!

Take Two - Checking for lice/kutu again...

Take Three - This is the best pose for checking for lice/ kutu. LOLZ!

Aww.. family bonding =D

The monkeys here are much tamer compared to the ones in Uluwatu. They only snatch food in view (bananas or bottles of water) from visitors. Those who brought along bunches of bananas to feed the monkeys will "enjoy" the monkeys attention =p
The ones in Uluwatu even snatch away items such as sunglasses and cameras!

Next activity: Kecak Fire Dance
