A Song That Reminds Me I Am Not Alone

My sister sent me a link to this beautiful song.. from then on, I am hooked to it..listening to it, over and over again.. The lyrics touched me so much and it reminds me that He’s with me throughout my struggles although I am not aware.

I am thankful for all the lovely people around me..who have been supporting me physically and mentally. Thank you for reminding me of who I am and the importance of being myself.

Sending ALL my LOVE to each and everyone of you (you know who you are) and God bless each and everyone of you … where ever you guys are ^_^

Thanks to Janice & Sonia for singing this beautiful song and most of all, thanks to you both for sharing it to the rest of us. God bless you both!!! ^_^

Turn To Jesus

Jesus my Saviour
My Lord and My King
Insulted, rejected
for all of our sins
Knowing pain
He went through it all
So I turn to Jesus
He's there when I fall

(chorus)
Lord I need you
Lord I cry out to you
My only refuge
from this world
Lord I need you
Lord I cry out to you
My only shelter
my hope and saviour

Jesus my comfort
my strength and my shield
Sorrow and sadness
He knows how I feel
Knowing my struggles
He went through it all
So I turn to Jesus
Who's been there before

Team Building @ Awana Genting

.

I wasn't too keen to participate in this team building weekend as I am super stressed and worried about my assignmnet due date which is drawing near. Nevertheless, with a heavy heart and open mind (such a contradiction!) and with my fingers crossed, I said to myself, I'll be able to catch up with my assignments after this weekend.

Also, I don't feel quite right to abandon my colleagues for the event as well. Why? Because, I was in charge in the accomodation and coordination between the hotel and trainers. So.. yeah.. a good girl I will be and start packing my stuffs for the weekend!

Where? Choice given was either Genting Highlands or Port Dickson.
We chose Awana Genting Highlands Resort. Venue at Genting Highlands would be a bit more pricey but since our last company trip was at Port Dickson, it was decided to to go for another location for team building event.

Queen Sized Beds - This time I've gotta share the bed with another colleague as we've got three person sharing a room

TV is kinda small for the size of the room.

Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Shower Cap - pretty much the basic stuffs

Bathtub & Shower

Toilet's kept clean

View from our room

On our way to outdoor team building activities

FST Training & Development were given the reins to organize the team building modules. Why were they chosen? Simply because we're allowed to claim the training expenses from Human Resources Development Levy (HRDF).

FST Trainers explaining rules of games

Coordination and timing.. hmm.. this photo looks... errhh.. I better not go into that area.. LOLZ!

Balancing and Speed

There are many more games and activities but I didn't get the chance to capture them all. I guess it would be much more challenging if we were to engage the Awana Genting's team building package.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner was all buffet style at the resort's coffee house. Nothing to shout about. In fact, I rather say the breakfast in First World Hotel is so much better compared to Awana Genting Resort.Link
After the team building weekend, I wonder will there really be any changes to the company's team spirit? My guess is : NO CHANGES. =p

Post Wisdom Teeth Surgery

.

What’s my diet regime after the surgery?
- Yoghurt
- Ice Creams
- Cream of Mushroom Soup
- Cream of Chicken Soup
- Chocolate Milk (I don’t like to drink milk…so chocolate would be tolerable enough)
- Tofu

By Saturday (the fifth day after the surgery), my cheeks were still swollen… Got a little worried whether they will subside in time before I report back to work on Monday. I still can’t really open my mouth wide enough to shove the whole spoonful of whatever I wanna eat but I was feeling so greedy that I couldn’t resist grabbing a small piece of chicken nugget and nibbled on them! How do I feel? A teeny bit happier but still frustrated because I couldn’t taste nor munch properly. Not being able to eat well makes me feel awfully irritated! Monday came and although I felt a bit restless, I dragged myself out of bed and head on to office. Told my colleagues don’t try to say or do anything funny because I can’t laugh and also I don’t wanna get agitated with them at the same time. My mood was still rather crappy.

By Thursday (ninth day post surgery day), I realized that I can chew lightly on both sides of my teeth with a slight uncomfortable feeling on the stitches but.. hey.. at least I can munch rather than using my front teeth to nibble..Can’t really enjoy food by nibbling…

Two weeks after the surgery, it’s time to visit the dentist again to remove stitches! @_@ Started to get flashback of the pain and all that happened during surgery…but my friends that went through the process before told me that I shouldn’t worry because taking out the stitches won’t hurt much. So, I took a deep breath, walked into the room, greet the doc and sat on the chair I sat last two weeks ago. He asked me how many days was my cheeks swollen up. Told him it was about 1 week to past before I look quite normal again.

He told me that he had another patient, a man in his 30’s, after me on the same day I did my surgery. That man also took the oral sedative like I did and he started to snore during the surgery! The doc started chuckling and said “Different person reacted differently..your’s is a slower effect huh” I went.. “uh.. ha ha ha?”

After that, I ask him will it be painful to take out the stitches? He said not at all…I told him to Please Please Please spray more numb medicine on the area. I felt a slight pain when the “scissors” has to go through in between and cut the stitches but other than that.. ALL WAS OK!! PHEEEWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! No SUPER MASSIVE PAIN!! ^_^

Eleven days have passed since the wisdom teeth removal..Yes, by now I can chew as per normal but I need to make sure I don't get carried away and chew too hard using my behind teeth near to the stitches area.

Happy that I can eat better now, went to Paddington House of Pancakes (PHOP) for dinner today! ^_^ Why here? Saw an episode in 8TV's Ho Chak promoting PHOP the other day.. made me salivate..so that's when I made a mental note to visit soon! hehehehe..
They have all kinds of dishes that comes with different types of pancakes ranging from sweet to savoury!

There are a few outlets but I chose the one at The Curve.

Interior of PHOP

I have a tough time choosing what to eat from the menu.. THERE ARE SO MANY TYPES OF PANCAKES!!

Salzburg - Lamb cutlets with mixed herbs & balsmic reduction. Served with mashed potatoes and PHOP pannekoek crisps.

I don't quite like the pannekoek crisps though..it's crispy but don't quite like the smell of it - a lil fishy smell..or maybe my nose have a lil problemo..hahaha..

Alabama - creamy grilled chicken with caramelized apples on mashed potatoes pancakes (RM 18.50)
The pancake served on this platter is yummy! 100times so much better than the pannekoek crisps.. ^_^

Chocolate Banana Pancake served with Chocolate Ice Cream and Caramel - RM 10.50

If you're celebrating your birthday at PHOP and spent a minimum of RM150, you'll get a complimentary PHOP Surprise Birthday Pancake (worth RM23.50) on your birthday month. All you need to do is show them your ID card.
