I-City, Shah Alam

They called I-City Shah Alam the City of Lights.

They are open from 10.00am but the lightings display will only start once it gets dark, around 7.00pm. But headover there earlier if you plan to enjoy the other attractions there :)

I suggest to get the i-City card to pay for your rides/ entrance fees. It's like a top up / touch & go card system.

If you're just gonna go and enjoy the display of lights, it's free of charge:)

Besides enjoying the beautiful display of lights, went to Snowalk.

Went on a icy snow slide! ^_^

Wheeeee!!!!! For people like me who haven' been to winter countries, this is a nice experience :)

BacktheBid2020 Flash Mob (Malaysia)

Had the AWESOME opportunity to join in the fun with squash stars and their fans to raise awareness for the campaign to include Squash in the Olympics 2020.

(I still can't fathom why Squash wasn't included in the Olympics since like ages ago???)

Anyway.. watch the video!! The mob was lead by Dato' Nicol Ann David. 

Where was I? Somewhere far behind / end of the mob line..lol.... *was too shy to stand in front - not forgetting I didn't rehearse the steps before I join them* =p

But it was all fun! Especially for a first timer mob! ^_^

Kudos to the organizing comittee!

Genting Highlands - Fooling Around

Being a FOOL at Genting Highlands on April Fools Day! LOL!

And I got April-Fooled by His Highness on the very morning itself! (Next Year, MY TURN!)

After lunch, head up to Genting Highlands.. I've been there a few times but knowing that I those I love are going along with me, it's a different feeling altogether :) You know what I mean?

Skipped the Skyway as we drove all the way up to the hotel (besides, Permaisuri has fear of heights, despite all efforts to convince her, she rather skip the skyway experience)

At First World Plaza, packed with Indoor Theme Park, Performance Stage, Shopping Outlets, Restaurants, Bowling Alley etc..  

Well, besides visiting the casino, managed to convince Permaisuri and Papi to at least go for a 4D Motion Master ride.

The Little Prince & The Haunted mine is "screening" but when we bought the ticket, Little Prince shows are over. So no choice but to go for Haunted Mine.

Tickets @ RM 8.00 per pax/ride.

Above picture was taken just when the Haunted Mine just started - blurry pics? yeah.. gotta wear a 4D sunglass to view the movie properly. 

The movie was quite real (the 4D effect) just that I felt the ride was a bit of let down, I expected it to be scary but it wasn't.. so.. no nightmares at night =P (Good!).

Permaisuri didn't enjoy the ride at all - right after a scene where a snake loomed forward and tried to bite her.. =p 

 

Next up: Flying Coaster!!! My favourite ride at Genting Highlands!

We didn't buy the Outdoor Theme Park pass/ wristband. 

So, the ticket cost us RM 12/pax for non-wristband purchaser. 

RM 10 per pax for those with the All Theme Park/ Outdoor/Indoor Theme Park wristbands holder.

 

Finally, I get to go on this ride with Missy Dragon! Muahahaha! It's her first time! Nervous!!

(His Highness didn't wanna go on this ride again after the last trip he went with me, so he's the photographer!) hehehehe..

I'm waving!! Hello!!! Can you see me??!!! 

We're ready to go! WOOHOOO!!!

Missy Dragon kept repeating OMG most of the time..and I? As usual, laughed my hearts out! It has always been a very good de-stressing ride for me! (better than Space shot & Corkscrew rides)

Lil Piggy         : You'll enjoy it even better the second time! Cone on!Let's!!

Missy Dragon  : Don't want!!! I feel like vomitting out the lunch we had just now..if I go again, The vomit will splash on you!

Of course Permaisuri & Papi didn't go on the Flying Coaster ride.. So, took them to stroll at the little garden at the back of Theme Park Hotel to chill and enjoy the cooling air and pretty flowers. 

They loved it and I am glad we made this trip possible..felt blessed! ^_^

I was pretty excited to attend this live show and I don't care  like it or not, I've bought the tickets and His Highness will need to sit through this show with me till the end! MUAHAHAHHA! *evil* 



As I enter the hall, I was like "Gosh! IT'S COLD!! Then I recalled,"Ohh! It's the stage, prepared with layers of ice for the skaters!" =p



The stage deco exudes mystery and elegance..I LIKE!!!! ^_^

I had the hardest laugh when the funny Penguin Emcee invited a guest on stage to share the spotlight with him. It was so funny, I laughed till I had tears on my eyes (nearly rolled on the floor - but it's public space, must behave..hehehe =p). It was all good fun especially when the invited guest was such a sport! (I clapped my hand so hard for him after he was allowed to leave the stage! LOL!)

I think I made a pretty good choice as the view of the stage is just right for me, not too near, not too far :)


The show lasted for about one hour and 15 minutes and I came out of the hall with a smile on my face... HAPPY!

Water Dragon Chinese New Year

This year is the Water Dragon Chinese New Year and celebrated on 23rd & 24th of January 2012. (Last year was the Metal Rabbit's year)

As usual, my Chinese New Year was celebrated at Penang Island. *awww....Home Sweet Home*

This year, I've gotta drive back to Penang from Selangor and brave the HEAVY traffic on the North-South Highway. Usually, I'll just book a flight and FLY home.. (thanks to the QUEEN's order: DRIVE BACK THE CAR!!!!! I don't dare to ignite a cold war to spoil Chinese New Year eh..)


Sad to say.. the Chinese New Year excitement and joy when I was a kid has long been extinguished. When I was younger, I used to get so hype up about buying new clothes for the new year, counting my shillings - getting ready to gamble with my cousins, uncles & aunties (it's once a year we are allowed to do this ok.. for sure excited!), thinking about which type of fireworks / sparklers to buy and of course, the anticipation of how many ang pows (red packet with $$$) will I receive! 

Pop Pop! All time favourite for young kids (and once upon a time ago.. I was one of them)

Sparklers...or I call them "Ann Hui" (hokkien style) Another all time favourite..


Now that I'm in my adulthood, I look forward to the well deserved HOLIDAY, away from work stress and sleeping in a bit later than usual, having yummy food and enjoying the company of my family members andif time permits, I'll try to meet and catch up with a couple of good friends. 


What do I do during Chinese New Year this year? Well, basically, eat, enjoy, sleep late and eat! LOL.. I don't even bother snapping lots of pictures..hahahaha.. But here's a few :

Each year when my cousins, siblings and I sit down and gamble, we always reminisce those days when our favourite uncle was still with us in this world, how he would laugh his contagious funny & sly laugh each time he wins our bet money and how he always have loose change in a small bag of his, telling us "It's okay if you don't have anymore shillings, get some note from your parents and I'll change it for you!"..LOL..hmmm..It has never been the same without him around... the mood during gambling session is more sombre nowadays..He'll be always in our hearts..

Welcoming 2012 at Waterfront @ Parkcity

This year, I have to welcome year 2012 in Kuala Lumpur... (homesick to the max!! I was at Hard Rock Hotel Penang amidst family members on 2011's New Year celebration). But it's ok.. life would be monotonous if everything remains the same.. ^_^


I ushered in 2012 at The Waterfront @ Parkcity as I am on duty... Yes.. working + ushering New Year.. hehehehe..

I haven't participated in this kind of event for many many years now.. and I find that my mind wanders off, reminiscing those days...having fun and when I was young and foolish.. (ehem..) Well.. time has ticked tocked so fast!!!
